Congratulations
In compliance with the Biosecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, Rules on the Pathogen-laboratory Biosecurity as well as Regulations on the Administration of Pathogen-laboratory Biosecurity of Jiangsu Province, PYQ Lab has successfully obtained the Biosafety Laboratory Record Certificate (BSL-2) issued by Suzhou Municipal Health Commission, signifying that we have the qualification of BSL-2 laboratory and indicating that a set of complete biosafety management systems and a professional team have been established to bolster, manage and maintain its operation.

What is Biosafety Laboratory?
The biosafety laboratory is a pathogenic microorganism laboratory that meets biosafety requirements through protective barriers and management measures.
Biosafety levels are categorized into four types (BSL-1, BSL-2, BSL-3, BSL-4) based on the biosafety protection level of the laboratory against pathogenic microorganisms and relevant national standards. The levels of protection range from BSL-1, which is the lowest, to BSL-4, which is the highest.
a) Biosafety Level 1 is the level appropriate for work involving microorganisms that normally will not cause disease in humans or animals.
b) Biosafety Level 2 is the level appropriate for work involving microorganisms that will cause disease in humans or animals, but generally do not pose a serious hazard to humans, animals or the environment, have a limited risk of transmission and for which effective therapeutic and prophylactic measures are available.
c) Biosafety Level 3 is the level appropriate for work involving microorganisms that will cause serious disease in humans or animals, and are more liekly to be transmitted directly or indirectly between humans, between animals and humans, and between animals.
d) Biosafety Level 4 is the level appropriate for work involving microorganisms that will cause extremely serious disease in humans or animals, as well as those have not yet been discovered or declared eradicated in our country.
Among the four levels of biosafety laboratories, BSL-2 laboratories are the most widely used today.
